KFUG maintains a child-centred safeguarding framework that protects all beneficiaries from abuse, neglect, exploitation, trafficking, harassment, and other forms of harm.
The organization maintains a written Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy. Employees, volunteers, Board Members, contractors, and other persons working with children must comply with the safeguarding policy and applicable child protection laws.
Appropriate screening, references, supervision, training, and background checks are undertaken for personnel working with children, to the extent permitted or required by law.
The Foundation maintains safe and confidential channels for reporting suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, misconduct, or safeguarding violations. Reports are handled promptly and sensitively, with referrals to the appropriate authorities and child protection professionals where required. We do not conceal abuse or retaliate against a person who raises a safeguarding concern in good faith.
Photographs, videos, personal stories, and other identifying information concerning children are collected, stored, and shared only in accordance with appropriate consent, privacy, and safeguarding requirements.
